Fabric Napkin Pocket

Tutorial of how to make a fabric napkin pocket with a metal heart.

Supplies Needed:

  • Metal Heart
  • Fabric Napkin, I got mine from Home Goods
  • Scissors, I used pinking shears
  • Hot Glue Gun & Hot Glue Sticks
  • Artificial Flowers

Instructions:

This is a very simple craft, but very fun to make! I used this metal heart that I previously bought from Hobby Lobby. You could do this craft with a variety of shapes. I used a fabric napkin that I bought from Home Goods to make the pocket. This bunny napkin was in their spring decor, but it is something I would probably keep as decor all year.

I trimmed the napkin down to the general shape of the heart. Then I laid the metal heart on top of the napkin and trimmed it to be the proper shape for gluing it to the heart. I left about a half to one inch border to have enough excess to glue to the back of the heart.

I first used the hot glue gun to glue the corners and bottom. Then I glued and folded over the sides.

Once it is glued on the back you then have a pocket to put flowers or anything you would like in the front.

I added artificial spring flowers in the pocket. You could change out the flowers every season or decorate for special holidays.

I hope you give this a try! Comment below if you do or if you have made something similar!
